What Can Exercise do for You?

Most important, exercise can help you control your weight; it also makes insulin more effective in lowering your blood glucose level and aiding the entry of glucose into the cells. It can also increase the efficiency of your lungs and heart, help reduce hypertension, help you handles stress by relieving physical tension, and reduce the cholesterol level in your bloodstream.
While exercise can be of great value to both insulin-dependent diabetics and non-insulin-dependent diabetics, there are some differences in the ways exercise affects each group of people.
